I check your slab, roofline and house wall so the plan fits what's really there.
Request an estimateWhat does it take to build a sunroom in Eastvale?
Sunroom construction adds an enclosed room to your house. At Sunridge Eastvale Sunrooms & Patios, we build them in Eastvale and the cities around it, from a screened patio room to a fully enclosed room you heat and cool like the rest of the house.
Most folks who call me just want to use their backyard more. The first thing I ask is how you picture using the room, because a screened room, a glassed room with no heat or air, and a fully heated and cooled room are really three different builds. The type and size of the room move the price the most, along with what it needs underneath it. The schedule mostly turns on how quickly we settle the plan and how long the city takes with the permit. When I come out for the estimate, we figure out which room fits your house and what it'll cost you.
How we handle sunroom construction, from the ground up
On a full build, I care most about the parts you won't see once the room is done, so we start underneath. We check what's already there. If your patio is a post-tension slab, with steel cables pulled tight inside the concrete, we find that out before anyone cuts or breaks it. Then we work out how the room ties into your house wall and roofline, since that joint is where leaks and cracks usually start. We settle the insulation plan before we frame anything, because insulated windows and insulation in the walls, floor and roof go in much more easily while the room is going up, and adding them later often costs more. Only after that do the framing, roof, glass and trim go up, and we clean up as we finish.
Not every backyard needs a new room from scratch. If you've got a sunroom that's drafty, leaky or just dated, sunroom remodeling may get you the room you want without tearing it out. If what you're really after is shade and no mosquitoes, screen room installation is a simpler, lighter build. I'd rather tell you that than sell you more room than you'll use.
Sunroom construction rules and lots in Eastvale
Permits come first here. The city of Eastvale's building safety team reviews plans, issues permits and inspects home projects. The forms the city lists name patio covers and residential solar but not sunrooms, so that list doesn't tell you whether your room needs a permit. That's a question for the city. When a job does need one, we put the paperwork together, submit it and meet the inspector for the visits. A few early checks also shape where the room can go on your lot. If your house is in a Planned Residential Development, or PRD, that development's own document sets the lot rules, so it's worth digging out your copy. The city's Planning Department answers zoning questions for any property in Eastvale at 951-703-4460. You can also type your address into the state's fire hazard severity zone map to see where your property sits.
Most of what we build on out here is a newer house with stucco walls and a concrete patio out back. Summers get hot enough that a room with a lot of west-facing glass can bake by mid-afternoon, so I talk through glass and room type with you before we pick one. We're based in Eastvale and work across Riverside and San Bernardino counties, and we see the same kinds of houses and yards on jobs in Jurupa Valley and Corona.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a sunroom cost near Eastvale, CA?
A Riverside cost guide puts a sunroom in this area at about $17,000 to $120,000 per project. The top of that range is usually the bigger rooms that need their own foundation and get heating and air conditioning, while smaller, simpler rooms land lower. Your own figure comes from the estimate, once I've seen your yard.
What is the difference between a four season and a three season sunroom?
A four season room is heated and cooled and has all-weather windows, so you can use it like any other room in the house. A three season room isn't heated or cooled and has uninsulated windows or screens. A screened porch has no windows or temperature control at all, so pick based on how you'll actually use the space.
What license should a sunroom contractor have in California?
Anyone who contracts for work worth $1,000 or more in combined labor and materials needs a current, valid license from the Contractors State License Board, and a sunroom costs well past that. It's also worth asking which license class a contractor holds, since the board's awning class covers awnings and patio covers but leaves out patio enclosures.
Who issues building permits for a sunroom in Eastvale?
The city of Eastvale's building safety team issues them, and it also reviews the plans and does the inspections. Its forms list doesn't name sunrooms, so check with the city about your room. When a permit is needed, we handle the submittal and the inspector visits.
How long does sunroom construction take in Eastvale?
Most of the time goes into settling the plan and, if your room needs a permit, getting through the city's review before the build starts. A bigger four season room on its own foundation takes longer than a screen room on an existing slab, and I'll give you a better sense of timing at the estimate.
How do I take care of a sunroom roof?
One maker's guide suggests having the roof and gutters inspected once a year. The same guide advises staying off the sunroom roof unless there's a real need to be up there.
